The Playful Solutions Story
I’m Crystal, owner of Playful Solutions. I believe that children are inherently curious, capable, and full of untapped potential. Everyday, they communicate their vast potential in their growing knowledge of the world around them. My goal with Playful Solutions is to strengthen and deepen their learning experiences by working with educators and care providers like you. I want to help you create rich experiences and environments for your children by providing resources and learning opportunities to deepen your understanding of child-centered learning.
About Me
I am a teacher and a mom who has seen the incredibly powerful impact the Reggio Emilia philosophy can have on young children. I began my journey at the Early Learning Centers in Lawrence Township, first as a co-teacher and later as a lead teacher in my own classroom.
I continued to teach, grow, and learn alongside my colleagues and students until my daughter was born. I then left the classroom to create a home learning environment built on the same foundations of curiosity and self-confidence I valued in the classroom. It is important to me that our home environment and school culture reflect those same beliefs.
My Work
My primary focus is on consultation and my own growing learning community. My unique approach is inspired by the work of Loris Malaguzzi, founder of the Reggio Emilia approach.

Learning Community
I provide child-led learning experiences with a focus on social and emotional development. I believe children are active participants in their own quest for knowledge. I empower the children in my learning community to follow their own curisoity and wonder.
Professional Development
I additionally offer professional development services that focus on project coaching, Environment as the Third Teacher, the Image of the Child, and implementation of Project Approach and child-centered teaching.
